The sites of Philly

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Today we went into Philadelphia to see the sites.  Mom and Dad took a tour on a "Duck" while I took a nap in the truck.  Then they walked around town a little (Mom wrapped her leg up and that helped a lot) and Mom got a picture of the Liberty Bell despite the Asian tourists that got right in front of her again.  When they were on the Duck, it was pouring rain really HARD, so Mom had a hard time getting good pictures.

Tomorrow, Dad said we are going to go to Wilmington, Delaware to see the sites.

These poor guys had to stand out in the rain to work - can
you see the rain behind him?

Turkey Tom and his buddies - they won't come to dinner!

It must be Spring time - aren't they cute?
When we got home the turkeys were EVERYWHERE, but we couldn't get any of them to come to dinner!!

It looks like we will be staying another day or two so we can go to Valley Forge.  This would be a great place to "stay over" for another few days.  It's supposed to stop raining later today and for the weekend.  We weren't even close to the tornado in Philadelphia, so don't worry (yet).

Oh yeah, and before I forget, I want to wish my friend John (in Florida) a very
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
