Today we took off and saw a few more sites. First stop was the Iwo Jima Memorial. Mom saw this the other night on the night tour, but this is a better picture. While we were there, there were some Marines practicing a new drill. They kept working on this until it was perfect!

The next stop wasn't even a real stop, on account of, you're not allowed to stop unless you park a long way away and walk. You aren't supposed to take any pictures of the Pentagon, so Mom won't be able to show you what we saw. They are still doing some work on the outside and to say the least, the security is VERY TIGHT! Too bad this has happened, but at least we got who was responsible for all of this!

The next thing we was was the US Air Force Memorial. We didn't get out but Mom was able to get some decent pictures of this one. You can see this from the Capitol Mall too.
After that, we drove to Mount Vernon to see where George Washington lived and was buried. Its a really big place and we wandered around and saw the farm, some of the animals, the out buildings, George and Martha's house and finally where George Washington was buried.

It was pretty warm and I walked a long way and got thirsty - the ladies at the farm gave me some water out of a wooden bucket! |

There were a lot of kids wandering around and they ALL wanted to pet me. This happens almost every place I go. Sometimes it's tough when you're soooo cute!
Oh well. Tomorrow will be a day for chores, then on Saturday, we will be moving on.
