Mom and Dad took me to the "All Dogs Club" for my evaluation this morning. It was supposed to take an hour, but I passed in 10 minutes! So, that means I got to stay and play, while Mom and Dad went to the city to do their thing. They had to go back to camp and take the bus, then the "Metro" (which is actually the subway) into the City, and Mom was very proud of the fact that they actually made it without getting lost (it's really easy to get around according to Dad).
After they got to the city, Mom and Dad went to Congressman Heller's office to pick up their Gallery Passes to get into both houses of the Congress. They were very busy packing up, because Congressman Heller will now be Senator Heller. While they were there, the girls said that Congressman Heller was going to be sworn into office at 2:00 pm today! To say the least they went to the swearing ceremony where they saw Vice President Biden and of course Senator Reid. Mom said they were REALLY STRICT in the Gallery. You can't wave (Mom got in trouble for that), you can't clap - everyone got in trouble for than one, and you are supposed to stand for the opening prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Before all of this started there was a guy that came in and sat behind Mom that made it very clear that he "WOULD NOT STAND AND PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THIS FASCIST COUNTRY THAT HAS TORMENTED HIM"! Of course everybody gave him a disapproving look and security shut him up and told him to keep quiet - one more word and he would be thrown out!
In between everything, Mom and Dad got onto a trolley and hopped all over the city and took in the sites. Here is SOME of what they saw. (Mom took over 100 pictures today!)

The loneliest highway in Nevada comes all the way here! |
Editors Note: OOPS, we made a mistake on yesterday's post. The bridge pictured is actually the Arlington Memorial Bridge - not the Washington Bridge - we went back and corrected it......
