Before we hit the road this morning, Mom went over to the Gettysburg National Cemetary to take some pictures (in the rain).

So, after that, we headed to Philadelphia, but ended up in Clarksboro, New Jersey to camp. Dad said this is the closest campground to Philadelphia. It is really a nice place. There are ALL kinds of critters here! Within an hour we saw wild turkeys, ducks, geese, squirrels, and even a cottontail rabbit. The only problem is that Mom and Dad won't let me off the leash so I can go 'play' with them! Our camp site is right on the end, so we look out into the forest! The turkeys came by tonight and walked through our camp to go the forest - it was fun to watch them.

GREEN, GREEN, GREEN! |
I guess we will see a lot of these horse drawn buggys here.... |
Crossing over the bridge into New Jersey |
Mr. Tom Turkey crossing the road - Mom wanted to grab him and invite him for dinner - I'm not sure what she meant!? |
Mallard ducks taking a nap in the GREEN grass! |
I'm not sure what the schedule is, but we will figure that out tomorrow. I know Mom and Dad want to go into Philadelphia and also to Valley Forge. After that, who knows??
By the way, we really enjoy hearing from our friends and family while we are on the road. We appreciate your comments (and the news from home) - please keep them coming!
Oh, yeah, it is still raining and we are supposed to get up to 2 inches tomorrow. Mom said that won't hurt us because we aren't made out of sugar and we won't melt - and besides, it makes my fur coat really SOFT! (It doesn't do anything for Dad's fur coat tho! - HA - that's Mom's joke!)
